CirKarma Sessions are a "Family-Centered" learning approach. This means a responsible adult needs to be with their child/youth in a way that is responsive to needs and strengths. For some, this might be sitting together. For some this might mean the adult is listening aloud within the same space. Our CirKarma educators will be speaking to both students and adults throughout the sessions, ensuring all voices are heard. Siblings are welcomed to participate alongside your child/youth with autism.
CirKarma Special Events are also a "Family-Centered" learning approach but on a larger scale. These events will involve outside experts or community partners that will co-facilitate experiences. These may involve hired staff to lead us in a virtual field trip, or a chef from a cooking school, or even a yoga instructor to facilitate a family-style practice. Special Events provide opportunities for multiple and extended family members to participate. As long as you are within the same household with your login, you can have a great time together!
CirKarma Sessions are designed to be "Online" learning experiences. We use the Google Meet platform. Viewing works best on a larger screen size (computer, laptop). Connecting via a phone is not ideal or recommended. Â
As we are connecting online it is recommended that you have reliable wifi/internet from your end. Some activities will involve online videos with sound. Sometimes the buffering of these can be negatively impacted. This is out of our control from our end.
While we hope to be able to sometimes connect in-person, at CirKarma we strive to reduce geographical barriers by offering our sessions and special events online. This way, families can connect regardless of where they live. Of course, various time zones do present barriers too and this is something we hope to navigate when the time comes.Â
Being located in the GTA, Ontario, Canada, we do have plans to create some in-person opportunities for families that are interested. If that speaks to you, then please send us an email!
Our sessions are designed for autistic children and youth, as well as the families and caregivers who support them. We embrace a wide range of communication styles, abilities, and interests, creating an inclusive environment where every participant can engage in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful.
Each session combines social connection, emotional learning, creative activities, movement, and interactive discussions in a structured yet flexible online environment. Activities are thoughtfully planned to encourage participation, build confidence, and foster meaningful relationships while respecting each child's individual needs and preferences.
CirKarma goes beyond academic support or therapy by focusing on the whole child and their family. Our approach combines education, advocacy, emotional well-being, community building, and meaningful social connections to create a supportive environment where families can grow together.
Getting started is simple. Explore our membership options, subscribe to receive updates, browse our resources, or contact us to learn more about upcoming sessions and community opportunities. We look forward to welcoming you into the CirKarma Circle of Support.
